TORONTO :: CITY OF BICYCLES
I will let you in on a little secret. Something the politicians and media
don’t think you need to know.
Toronto is a City of Bicycles. Sure, there are lots of cars. But what
matters more is that are just as many bicycles if not more. Every year
more bicycles are sold in North America than cars.

Every day people like you and me ride our bikes to work, to school,
to the store, perhaps go on a weekend ride in a park or along the lake.
Every day people get on their bicycles and smile as they ride down
the street.
That’s the Joy of Bicycles.
This collection of photographs were taken over the last twelve months
in the streets and alleys of Toronto. They include images from events
like Reclaim The Streets, the annual Icycle Race, the Ride of Silence,
Critical Mass (18:30, Bloor & Spadina, last Friday of every month!)
They capture vintage bicycles, courier bikes, bicycle art and activism.
Toronto is a better city thanks to those who prefer bicycles.
If you ride, you are a hero. Ride on.
